If you're removing the Gearbox and replacing the Clutch, especially in modified/boosted cars its worth considering replacing the slave cylinder while you've got everything apart. This is a genuine GM part; don't consider anything less than genuine GM quality!

The factory release bearing support is made of plastic and is notorious for getting hot and completely failing, especially in high horsepower/high abuse applications. Our Billet Release Bearing Support is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, there is no chance of it failing regardless of temperature.
